When Spirit Spoke…I Listened
If you are reading this book, you probably, at one time or another, had the
feeling that you had some type of psychic ability because of strange things you may have experienced. Some of the many facets
of psychic phenomena and divination that most people are acquainted with are astrology, numerology, tarot card reading, crystal
ball and tea leaf reading, and more. At the beginning of my search to develop my psychic abilities I experimented
with them all but my focus became channeling, listening to the voice of ascended masters and guides that are in spirit.
Perhaps
you have had visions, premonitions, or even heard voices from spirit and were afraid to mention it for fear of being ridiculed.
There are several types of spirit often referred to by those in the physical, three dimensional world; these usually refer
to alcohol and enthusiasm. But, what I am referring to is spiritual energy, the kind that is inherent in all of us: body,
mind, and spirit, the divinity and godlike quality we all possess. This book contains an abridged compilation of my first
three books to introduce readers to “When Spirit Speaks.” Therefore, some information may seem repetitious as
you have read them.
Since founding The Queens Psychic Club and hosting a “Psychic Awakening” for
more than sixteen years I’ve channeled messages from spirit. At first I was hesitant to mention that my channel is Jesus.
Some find channeling Jesus, or other ascended masters difficult to accept yet applaud the ability of psychic mediums to contact
the spirits of loved ones that have died and went to Heaven, or as more recently expressed, “crossed over to the other
side.” It is believed that the spirit of any soul that walked the face on of the earth, if willing can be contacted.
Spirit communication, the bringing of messages from departed loved ones can play an important part in healing the pain of
loss by helping to bring closure and solace to those remaining behind to mourn. It is my belief that mediums helped open the
door to understanding reincarnation and the afterlife. Everything and everyone is composed of energy, and energy cannot be
created or destroyed, it can only be transformed i.e. steam condensed into water, etc.
Because of
my personal experiences and association I have the greatest respect for Psychic Mediums and the work they do. However, the
fascination with hearing from the spirit of a loved one often makes people complacent. It satisfies their question of “is
there life after death?” Once assured there is, they become complacent and this often stops them from evolving to a
higher level of spiritual consciousness. On the other hand, channeled messages from spirit guides and Ascended Masters are
to help us in our daily lives. Through mediumship and channeling Ascended Masters many questions about God, time, and
purpose have been answered.
Our purpose in this incarnation is to strive for peace with ourselves
and our fellow man. Only then we will have “Peace on Earth, as it is in Heaven” and resolve our karma. How do
I know this? I have faith in myself: When Spirit spoke, I listened!
Since
I founded The Queens Psychic Club one frequently asked question is, “what is the difference between a psychic, a medium,
and a channel?” Before going any further I’ll give you a simple explanation. All psychics are not mediums but
all mediums are psychic. Psychics give information mostly associated with what is happening in our lives on the earth plane.
A medium can also give psychic information but deals mostly with spirit communication. He is the man in the middle
(hence the name medium) between the client (sitter) and the spirit of people that have died. Mediums are usually clairaudient
(clear hearing) or clairvoyant (clear seeing). Mostly, messages or information received pertains to what they were while in
physical form. This is so the client/sitter can validate the spirit is genuine. Both are considered channels because they
are “channeling” spiritual energy or information through them, either awake or in a somewhat altered condition
of consciousness. A medium’s messages are usually short, and sometime they include visual descriptions and symbols.
In general these messages only benefit those immediately connected in some way or other to the person that has passed over
to the other side. These messages are readily accepted because they can be validated by the person for whom they are intended.
As
for channels, they are considered to have a direct connection to one specific type of spirit of greater wisdom, usually an
Ascended Master or spirit guide. Clairaudience is the main method of channeling and it incorporates messages
in complete sentences or even paragraphs most often for the raising of consciousness and the betterment of humanity. However,
some have also been known to channel great artists, musicians, and scientists. Unlike with a medium, how does one validate
channeled messages for which they have no reference or connection? The most common way is sensing it if
their body resonates to the message, usually with a chill or the hair on their neck or arms standing up.
Another form
of channeling is what many commonly call “automatic writing”, which to me is a misnomer. A more appropriate name
would be spirit writing. For myself, I like the term “spiritual dictation” which is the way I receive my messages.
It involves sitting in a quiet place, with pencil and paper in hand, meditating to open myself to receiving the messages,
and simultaneously writing them down. They are usually received in perfect grammar, often with words beyond my everyday usage,
and are never embellished in any way by me. Later in the book I will describe my new method of meditation.
Introduction
“When Spirit Speaks…I Listen”
It is said that a good writer writes
about what he knows best…At the time of this writing it has been a total of sixteen years since I founded the Queens
Psychic Club, and four years since the last of my three books was published. For those of you readers that have not read them
I included excerpts from all three to show where I was coming from.
I
came into my spiritual belief through a medium and went on to become a channel of spirit. The story is repeated throughout
my books but this does not mean I am a one dimensional author. Each book is based on the evolving channeled messages I received
pertaining to our purpose in our present incarnation. We create our own lives and dramas, and we have the potential to change
it.
Although it is known as a psychic club because we present psychic fairs and
lectures on numerology, astrology, and much more, my main focus became spirit communication because I believed that we are
all guided by spirit. The only other means of psychic phenomena I pursued was “dowsing” which is similar because
you have to allow spirit to work through you.
I am not unique…
Everyone has the inherent ability to improve their life by listening to spirit. The sad part of human nature is because of
beliefs that limit them many people have not grown to realize they have this ability… and that is the reason for the
title of this book.
There have been major changes in the way
psychic phenomena and spirit communication is perceived and it has become more mainstream and respected by many. John Edward,
George Anderson, James Van Praagh, Sylvia Brown and many others have now become household names. The movies and television
have also contributed to the popularity and credibility of psychics and mediums, many of them based on real people and experiences.
Some of these celebrity psychic/mediums are highly respected and have also written books that have made it to the best
seller lists. These authors are not afraid to mention that they speak to and hear the voices of those in spirit…
The acceptance that mediums can communicate with the dead has
risen in popularity. But notice I use the term “communicating” which means a dialogue. Anyone
can talk to those in spirit but it takes a certain “sense” to hear and listen to what the spirit replies. That
is the focus of this book, learning to listen to spirit. Gradually, because of the work being done by mediums, channeling
has gained more credibility and its purpose is better understood now than when I first started. The spiritual websites devoted
to channeled messages is in part responsible. Many previous skeptics are beginning to accept the fact that if the energy of
a deceased loved one can be reached it is also possible to reach the energy of anyone that walked on the face of this planet,
especially a highly evolved “master.”
Recently
there has been a sharp increase in books pertaining to spirituality and God. The trend however seems that most books lean
more toward psychology and positive thinking. I’d like to be able to say that my previous three books were as successful
as some and reached millions of people, but they didn’t. However, I am a proponent of spirit communication because that
is my mission and believe I am planting the seed for others to follow. Whoever is meant to read my books will, and that includes
you!
What we read and hear influences the decisions we make and the actions we
take. Where we are in life is the result of every decision we ever made. In India, where the concept of reincarnation originated,
there is a caste of people, usually beggars that are known as “sitters”. In this life they
were born into poverty and just sit and beg thinking that this is their fate and in their next life it will be their turn
to be prosperous. Where did they get this notion? It had to be a limiting belief of their culture, from what someone heard
or read. Basically, a limiting belief is something inside of you that is telling you “you can’t” and prevents
you from achieving your goals. This book explains how some information when accepted as truth can become your reality.
Many television ministers speak and write about life improvement and promises
of success and wealth beyond your wildest dreams. They make it appear as though God has complete control of your life.
Once you are “born again” everything will come to you if you pray
and ask making it sound like you have very little to do with creating your own life.
The message given to me by Jesus, my channel in the spirit world is just the opposite. God is “perfect
spiritual energy” and that we are the creators of our own life. It is our responsibility to help in raising the consciousness
of humanity so there will be peace in the world. This is why it is so important to learn how to listen to spiritual messages,
not only with your intellect but with your heart. Then and only then will you hear when spirit is talking to you. Your body
will resonate/vibrate to the information
My books date back ten
years and are meant to serve a special purpose, which is to awaken the god within you and serve humanity. At first the messages
may seem contrary to many popular beliefs of what spirituality is, and what it is not. This is because they speak more of
the spirit and the soul rather than materialism; consider their source.
Although many recent authors use the term “non-physical beings” because they are reluctant, I
am not afraid to mention that the information is channeled from the spirit world, through spirit communication. This is my
purpose and the path I was chosen for. Yes, I said chosen, because I never had any intentions of doing this. However, I have
free will and free choice and it was my decision to do so.
As you read this book it is up to you to decide, not by your intellect, but by how your body responds
(vibrates) to this new information. Remember, whenever you think about something, when you give that thought
energy, unwittingly it becomes a belief. First comes the thought, and then the action. Unfortunately, very
often it is possible for the ego to react without thinking.
Chapter 1
Under the Illusion
The following legend illustrates how limiting beliefs can affect our
life… that is until we learn to listen and believe in our self.
Eons ago some fishes were swimming deep in the bottom of the ocean where
it was dark and cold…. They swam there following the leader of the school because that was all they ever knew.
One day, one of the fish heard a voice in his head, a thought that there must be something else beside cold and darkness.
He went to the leader of the school of fish and told him that he wanted to swim away and find out if anything else existed.
The leader of the fish told him he was foolish and would be wasting his time because nothing else existed except cold
and darkness. The little fish chose to listen to the voice he heard, which was his spiritual connection, his higher self.
So the little fish swam away, going higher
and higher. He kept swimming until he was frustrated and nearly exhausted and ready to turn back. But then
he noticed the water getting warmer. He looked up and saw a glimmer of light shinning through the water and swam faster and
higher toward it. When he got near the top of the water he could see the sunlight and the outline of the
shore, with trees and other forms of life.
The little fish was excited and turned to swim back to tell the other fish about the light he had discovered.
When he did many of the fish were so curious they wanted to experience the light for themselves. Those fish would soon
become enlightened. But unfortunately, some fish did not accept that anything new was possible and chose to remain in the
cold and darkness. Those fish were under the illusion that only what they could see or touch existed, anything they could
not see or touch was non-existent; because that was the only reality they knew. The enlightened fish swam away with a school
of followers and went on to discover a whole new existence.
For the little fish this was a rising of consciousness… (It begins with the mind removing all limiting
beliefs imposed on you by others that think they are always right and know what is best for you.)
…but first he had to make the decision to listen to a voice within,
not the opinion of someone else. Change begins when the mind removes all limiting beliefs of what is and what is not and is
an important part of evolution and Karma. Take notice how this story represents how many of us live our lives by listening
to the beliefs of others.
What are the limiting beliefs
I speak of, and how did we obtain them? Some of these reasons are reinforcement from my previous books…
One aspect of limiting beliefs is that those in control and power want
to retain their status and to dominate others, and the usual cause is greed and arrogance. This was the case with the philosophies,
sciences, and religions with each under the illusion that only they knew the “truth”. Notice, as each fish expanded
their knowledge and boundaries of truth their world slowly evolved. But often, like the fish living in the cold and dark water,
every new thought that arises meets with some resistance. The ego and arrogance of the “big fish”, because he
wished to stay in control, prevented any change by saying he had all the answers and was always right.
To name just a few of those critical limiting beliefs, it began
with Creationism and the different concepts of God, from polytheism, to monotheism, to pantheism and evolution. One
of the first limiting beliefs was that the world was flat, and that the sun revolves around the earth. Anyone who expressed
otherwise was ridiculed or chastised. Other limiting beliefs are also imposed on us by religions, culture, tradition, school,
and even our parents. A good explanation of a limiting belief is anything, or one that prevents you from evolving
to your greatest potential through your own thought. Limiting beliefs usually
begin with what you are taught or experience, or a person’s culture and anyone dictating what you should or should not
do. This would include a parent or a person with authority over you. They are so ridged in their belief
that they know best you unwittingly relinquish your own power or personality to their beliefs. That is, until you awaken to
your higher consciousness.
Chapter
ll
Walking the Walk
I have spent the last sixteen years, since starting
the Queens Psychic Club, on a mission of sharing my channeled messages from spirit with all those open to listening.
My consciousness has evolved to its present state by following my spiritual path as it unfurled before me.
I say evolved because the information I have received from Jesus, my channel in spirit, is of a higher level than when
I first started. I have walked the walk and now am talking the talk…
Evolution can be defined as a natural process of adaptation,
and unfolding, growth and change. Why then is it so difficult for some to believe humans will not continue
to evolve? Evolution and change are gradual processes and it is only humankind’s ego/intellect that perceives itself
as perfect, with no need for improvement. The ego has a continual need to be right, and the human mind will justify all its
actions and beliefs. But perhaps it is only the fear of going against the collective consciousness of society that make humans
resist change?
In
my first book, “God Explains” I describe my life and what lead up to me starting the Queens Psychic Club and the
understanding that we are all gods that create our own life because we have free will and free choice. The channeled messages
from Jesus explained that “God is perfect spiritual energy”…All that is I Am. For me, and others, this
was a new approach to spirituality.
My second book, “Spirit in the Flesh” I explained about how our learned limiting beliefs prevent
us from reaching our highest potential. To do this I chronicled the history of the psyche and our soul, and spiritism, the
belief in the ability to communicate with those in spirit. In it I stated that the next level of evolution is the ability
of humans to communicate/dialogue with those in spirit. This is not new information but the reason it took so long to reach
this point is people were told it is impossible, or blasphemy because it went against the teachings of many religions. Now,
more and more people each day are able to dialogue with spirit. Most important, Jesus explained the concept of “I Am.”
“Understanding Your Karma”,
my third book was a new teaching. It shows that true forgiveness of your self and those that hurt you is
one way of resolving your karma so you do not have to reincarnate on earth again. This information was given to me in my channeled
messages but received much opposition from those that had read otherwise. Notice, all thought and opinion is based on what
was previously learned by reading, not by experiencing. Recently, several other channels are sharing the same message about
forgiveness. I do not claim to be the first, but only one of many channels that are receiving evolved spiritual information
from a higher source that disputes what was previously accepted.
It has often been said, “You are what you eat.” That can also be restated
as; “you are what you believe…”
Spiritual
change is sent to humans from the consciousness of highly evolved spirits, guides and ascended masters via a modality called
channeling. That is how we learn about spiritual laws. One definition of a channel is a direct, uninterrupted connection between
two points, the sender and the receiver; whereas a medium operates on a frequency open to all in spirit that wish to contact
humans through him. In most instances those in spirit send and humans receive. As John Edward states, “Spirit can dial
in but we can’t dial out.”
We can gain spiritual growth and clarity about our life as
we move through our evolution of consciousness and back to our source (the light). In order to raise our consciousness
it is first necessary to remove any limiting beliefs that restrict us from moving forward. This requires being open to new
spiritual messages not new terminology. A limiting belief is any thinking that prevents you from reaching your full potential.
There is a level
of the collective consciousness, which is part of the Christ consciousness filling the ethers that affects everyone.
Many people, when they hear the name Christ, mistakenly think the term refers to religion. It doesn’t, it refers
to his teaching of philosophy aimed to help humanity on earth achieve peace, through love and understanding that all humans
are connected in the universe, to him and with our brothers; on earth as it is in heaven.
Some
channels in the physical world receive messages containing parables or metaphors much like the Ascended Masters and prophets
used while on earth, because that is whom the message is sent. Others channeled messages from spirit can be about several
different topics, i.e. science, art, music and medicine, etc. The higher the level of the spirit sending the higher the level
of information the channel receives.
Have you ever wondered where spiritual laws originated? They
come from master guides that are in the spirit realm, such as Jesus or Buddha to name a few, down to human channels on earth.
They were first acknowledged in Allan Kardec’s “The Spirits’ Book”, first published in the 1857.
However,
the now popular law of attraction, and many others were not listed at that time because all spiritual information was not
given at once. As more humans learned to channel, more spiritual laws became evident. This is because not all human channels
reach the highest evolved spirits.
Each human channel may be in tune/vibration with a different
master in spirit whose purpose or intention is to impart a special wisdom or information to help with the evolution of mankind.
Because mankind is at different spiritual levels of evolving we are only made aware of these laws when we are ready to accept
and apply them. “Everything happens in its own time.”
Spiritual laws are not
divine commandments like the ten moral laws that Moses received to guide us. A law in this context is a truism; a sequence
of events in nature or in human activity that has been observed to occur. Not many are aware of this and do not realize that
free will is the main spiritual law that governs our lives.
It is my opinion that not enough
emphasis is being placed on the “Collective Consciousness” (when a majority or people believe in the same principle)
which is what determines the outcome of all major events that cause human change in the world, i.e. burning of witches, revolutions,
wars, and political unrest, etc. God has very little to do with these yet he is often blamed for the killing done in his name.
Karma is word that has also become fashionable in our language but many
writers give no background to its origin. Though considered the most important of the spiritual laws it is generally only
stated as “Cause and Affect”, leaving it to the readers to find its true meaning. Most other spiritual laws would
only be “secondary” components of the law of karma.
Mainly, it is believed
by many that The Law of Karma is related to a person’s past lives and is comprised of three main components. Your Karma
is created by way you deal with the Circumstances you encounter and the decisions you make in life. However, the law
states there are no coincidences, everything happens for a reason - but what is that reason? That
reason is caused by synchronicity. Synchronicity is what causes the coincidences that bring people and events
together in their circumstances. These same ingredients are also the basis of The Law of Attraction.
Whether you are aware of them or not, Spiritual laws do have an affect on your life but it is your thoughts and deeds that
create your destiny.
It is a popular spiritual belief that, “Everything and everyone is where they should
be…” because in life, we are attracted to people of like mind through circumstance, synchronicity, and coincidence
for our spiritual purpose. People of like mind and intent (purpose) are generally attracted to each other,
whether it is for a positive or negative reason.
We are the creators of our own life brought about by every decision we made. Thus, in creating our own
little world, we eventually find a place in the collective consciousness of a larger world, made up of many little worlds.
The collective consciousness of all individual little worlds is what determines the course of “The Whole
Big World.” This is not something I made up! It is in information contained in my messages channeled from Jesus.
A caveat: Many people will believe
anything new about spirituality and the afterlife especially when a pundit uses new words and phrases just for the
sake of writing books or voicing their opinions. Whenever new terms and phrases are introduced it is best to question why
they are being used; what was wrong with the old words? Does the new thought override the old beliefs?
The reason I question the validity of using new words and statements regarding new age teachings is they are usually vague
and may lead to confusion. It is difficult to explain spiritual phenomenon with intellect and ego which sometime will just
lead up to being mere psychobabble.
By now you can see, my main focus is to present spirituality
in a truer light, the light from spirit, not spiritual correctness. Too many people are concerned
about what they were in their past lives so they can have reasons to justify or make excuses for what they are doing
in their present life… My messages state that in every physical reincarnation the karmic lesson above all is to learn
love and forgiveness of self and those that hurt you. When you can do this you are in oneness with God
and the universe and possibly this will end your karma.
I do not claim I have all the answers but many people form opinions
based solely on spiritual psychobabble, what they hear or what they read. Often they fail to question where the new information
originates or its purpose.
Let’s imagine for a minute you just arrived here from a foreign
country, just as your spirit came here when you incarnated into the physical world. After awhile you get homesick and want
to return to the source of light from whence you originated. But once your spirit reincarnated into physical form it suffers
from amnesia and is unable to remember its previous existence.
So, once awakened that
you are a spiritual being in a physical body you start to ask strangers you meet on your journey, “How does one get
to the light?” No one has a GPS or even a map, but they all have their own opinions on how you can get back. If you
ask ten people you will get ten different directions. At some point along your path someone suggests it is best to fill your
heart with peace and love to get to the light. If this rings true to you, you start out in that direction.
Remember,
you have free will and you are responsible for every decision you make even when you listen to advice from someone else. I
am suggesting that once awakened, in spiritual matters it is best to decide by listening to your inner voice, intuition, gut
feeling, higher self, or spirit guides; we all have them. We come from spirit and each of us will return to spirit by following
our own path. Hopefully this book will help you learn to listen.
Once
a person receives information from a channel in spirit it usually becomes their gospel... Everyone makes decisions based on
information they believe to be true. As a channel of spirit I believe in the messages entrusted to me: if I cannot trust in
my self, then who? There are many Ascended Masters but consider that my source is Jesus, and no other would
speak in his name. Those with limiting beliefs will still say this cannot be. “It is easier to say it cannot be
than say it is so.”
I trust my channeled information because it has been consistent
and is untainted by ego or materialism. It is always with love and for the enlightenment of humanity. I was asked by Jesus
to share these messages. It is not his intention to force these messages on anyone but to make them available and share them
with as many people possible. Much of the information is more advanced than what many now accept as spiritual truth and some
may resist it. Those that are ready will understand it; others will shrug it off as more psychobabble. “Do not fear
what others think for they only repeat what they have been told.”
You
have the free will to choose your own truth but first examine its source. Remember, because you believe or disbelieve something
doesn’t always mean it so! Logic and intellect is not always the answer to spiritual questions. The
best way to accept a truth is if you intuit it or your body resonates to it; a gut feeling?
There
is a big difference between hearing and listening. Many people read, or hear spoken words but do not heed what they imply.
In these modern times, instead of listening to the voice of spirit many people have become accustomed to hearing the voice
of W.I.F.M. (What’s in it for me) sending its message of greed and materialism. The left part of your
brain controls your intellect and your actions. Spirituality resides in the right side of your brain and can only interpose
when you are calm and relaxed, free from fear and anger.
Most
accepted spiritual information today agrees that our aura which surrounds us is an electromagnetic field (EMF) that changes
with our vibration, similar to radio waves, only in color, making it more like television. You can select what you listen
to by changing your frequency. This is similar to what happens in meditation, you raise or lower your frequency to tune into
and receive voices from the spiritual dimension.
So, who is it best to listen to and believe concerning spirit? You should
be cautious and not believe everything you read and hear, because it may influence your thinking negatively. “Do
not let the thoughts of others become your thoughts.” It is often better to listen to your higher self/intuition
and messages you receive from a highly evolved spiritual source before you follow or take any action, especially in these
times of cataclysmic change. This is the message I hope to impart to you; learn to listen to spirit!
Most of the change brought about in this world came from independent
thinkers. If you desire change it is best to think for yourself and not follow blindly in the world just because others are
doing it. Think about the nine hundred souls in Jonestown, Guyana that committed suicide by drinking poisoned grape juice.
They did not think for themselves but were influenced to do so by relinquishing their mind and power to Jim Jones.
Following blindly is how many people join a religious cult - following
the beliefs of others - that claim their dogma has the solution and redemption for all problems. Spirituality does not contain
dogma, and does not require mandated rituals. Most important, there is no intermediary that has to speak to God for you, all
you have to do is speak to him from your heart.
Spirituality usually begins with the awakening that you are more than a sinning physical
being as many religions would have you believe. Once awakened the search for answers begins. The best way to find your answers
is to look within your “self”. One of the best ways to do this is through some type of meditation. There are a
few examples in the next chapter.
